Chair Yoga
Chair yoga is the practice of classical yoga poses adapted for the chair. Chair yoga is for anyone interested in the many benefits of yoga without having to be on the floor. We meet at the Glens Falls Senior Center for a gentle chair yoga class which incorporates relaxing music, combined with breathing exercises, visualizations and simple seated yoga postures. This class is open to all and is FREE of charge.
Ashtanga Yoga
The full primary series of Ashtanga yoga in the traditional sequence, with modifications for all. Moderate to high fitness levels required. Prior yoga experience
is helpful, although not required.
Introduction to Ashtanga
A yoga class for all levels that will introduce the Ashtanga Primary Series. 
Build strength, endurance and flexibility in this ancient practice.
Restorative Yoga
A rejuvenating and fully supported practice using props and blankets to modify traditional yoga postures. The postures gently open the body to deep relaxation and healing. All levels welcome.
Yoga (all levels)
Hatha vinyasa class designed for all levels of experience. Many options and variations will be offered and each student will be encouraged to work at their own pace with loving kindness.
Yoga I
Emphasizes basic postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation. 
A great class for beginners. 
Yoga I (without Vinyasa)
This class will be similar to our Yoga I class, except there will not be vinyasa movement. A great class for beginners who find it challenging to transition from the floor to standing.
Yoga Sutra Study Each week we will explore yoga philosophy with a chosen sutra from Patanjali.
Yoga I/II
Yoga I/II continues to build upon the fundamental postures and techniques of yoga. Deeper posture variations will be taught as well as breath control and relaxation techniques.
Dharma Mittra Yoga ~
Level I
This is the beginning level of the Dharma Mittra yoga series. Students will practice DY Surya Namaskar and be introduced to DY Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa Level I to warm up the body, bring flexibility to all muscles and joints, and wake up the nervous system. A gentle yet powerful series of balancing, stretching, back bending, twisting and inverted postures will follow. This practice ends with deep relaxation, breathing, and meditation exercises to remove impurities and bring a sense of well-being to the body and radiant peace to the mind.
Dharma Mittra Yoga ~
Level II/III
This practice builds on the fundamentals of Dharma I, and is designed for those wishing to advance in posture practice. Students will learn and practice Dharma Mittra Levels II & III, igniting the entire body for practice. A series of deeper balancing, stretching, back bending, twisting and inverted variations will be taught including the head stand. This practice finishes with extended deep relaxation, breathing, and meditation exercises which will certainly bring a deep calm and invigorating energy to the students.
Dharma Mittra Yoga ~
Level III/IV

This much deeper and amazing advanced practice builds on the teachings of Dharma Mittra Level II & III, and is designed for those wishing to move forward into our progressively challenging asana practices. Students will learn Dharma III & IV, igniting the entire body for practice and unleashing the life force within it. With regularity, you can bring an end to weight problems and disease, attain health and stamina, and gain the opportunity to attain Self-realization. The balancing, back bending, twisting and inversion variations increase in difficulty. This practice
finishes with deep relaxation, breathing, and meditation exercises certain to bring
a deep calm, sense of balance, peace, and invigorated energy to all students.

Partner Yoga
With a sense of fun and playfulness, work together with a friend, family member, or partner to improve your yoga practice & relationship by building trust and communication while learning to support each other.
Yoga and The Twelve Steps
In this special six-week series, we will weave together the wisdom of yoga and meditation with the tools of 12-step recovery. This class is designed for any 12-step program members and those overcoming addictions and self-destructive behavior.

Candlelight Stretch and Meditation
Relax and stretch to peaceful music and the glow of candlelight. All levels welcome.
Gentle Yoga and Deep Relaxation
Gentle yoga combines deep breathing with stretches and gentle yoga postures to release tension and improve relaxation, thereby reducing pain and stress.  This class ends with a deep guided relaxation aimed to restore balance and inner peace.
Power Yoga and Japa Meditation Intro
Power yoga is a flowing vinyasa class which builds strength, flexibility, endurance and body awareness. This class will be based on a fusion of Ashtanga and Dharma Mittra vinyasa styles of yoga and ends with an Introduction to Japa Mala meditation. A Mala is a string of beads used to count mantras and/or affirmations in sets of 108 repetitions to invoke spiritual connection and mindfulness. Please bring mala beads with you to practice. If you need to purchase a set of malas, we have some for sale in our yoga boutique.
Yoga Philosophy Study Group

We will be meeting each month to study and explore yoga philosophy....a yogi book club so to speak. This is an introductory study group, open to anyone interested in deepening their practice through the study of yogic texts. We will be reading the texts together and discussing them as a group. We will meet the 4th Saturday of each month from 1:30-3:30pm. The cost of participation is $25 per person. This month, we will begin reading the book: The Bhagavad Gita translated by Swami Nikhilananda. Please let us know if you need to purchase a copy from our boutique.

Yoga Core For Back Health
A combination of yoga and pilates movements aimed to strengthen and lengthen the core muscles in order to fully support the back and spine.
