Know your Self, express your True nature and give it away to the Greater Good! ~tg

Tobey has spent most of her life experiencing, enjoying,  and studying  movement; seeing it as a means to better health, wisdom and happiness.   She has many years of experience in various roles as an internationally ranked athlete, instructor, coach, teacher and choreographer.  She has extensively studied, developed and taught: gymnastics, yoga, meditation,  and many modalities in fitness and  dance.  She is an international presenter and has a BS in Exercise Science and  certifications in a variety of healing modalities.

She  shares her belief that life itself is our greatest teacher and that through our yoga practice, our True Nature is revealed.

She is an ERYT yoga teacher and is certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, working both with one on one and in-group settings.  Her yoga background comes from Ashtanga, PRYT, Dharma Mittra, Jivamukti, Vinyasa styles as well as influences from Kripalu and Iyengar.  She is humbly  grateful to her teachers who include Dharma Mittra,  Pema Chodron,  Nancy Gilgoff, Manju Jois, Kathy McNames, Michael Lee and Karen Hasskerl,  staff at the Trauma Center in Boston and others including her family and friends who continue to share their courage, light and love.

She uses an eclectic blend of her  life and work experience encouraging each individual to explore their own possibilities with steady determination, compassion, humor and respect.  She teaches a variety of classes both at the Lemon Tree and in the community  for different age groups and special needs.  She is currently studying the research and work being done with yoga and trauma survivors.

"Since the mind, body, and spirit are closely connected, by tuning into all aspects of ourselves, we can grow, learn and heal. When we begin to do our work and heal, we begin to heal the planet." ~tg
